Narrated PowerPoint lectures, recorded webinars from industry experts, video and web resources are utilized. Participants must pass a test after each module. There are a series of projects that will be combined at the end into a portfolio.
Topics covered include an overview of the industry (who the players are), setting objectives, how to write a Request for Proposal (RFP), site selection, marketing, sponsors, registration and data management, program and speakers, special events, food and beverage, activities, exhibitions, suppliers, contracts, ethics, staffing and working with volunteers, budget, on-site logistics, risk management, international meetings, diversity, ADA, transportation and meeting evaluation.
A dedicated instructor is available to guide you through the program, provide assistance and answer questions.
